Marking the centenary of Heydar Aliyev’s birth, the Embassy of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre presented the concert “Paths of Friendship” at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, where Mina Ristić Jonić was piano collaborator to countertenor Ilham Nazarov and soprano Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović.

The concert “Paths of Friendship” took place on 16 December 2023 at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, organised by the Embassy of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Belgrade. The concert marked the centenary of the birth of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Mina Ristić Jonić performed as piano collaborator to both vocal soloists, countertenor Ilham Nazarov, Honoured Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and soprano Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović. The concert also featured pianist Svetlana Ahmadova Hidayatovna and Elvin Alizada on the tar, a traditional Azerbaijani string instrument.

For Mina Ristić Jonić, the concert marked her return to the stage after maternity leave. “It is a joy to return to the stage after a break,” she wrote after the performance.

For years Mina Ristić Jonić has appeared at events organised by the Embassy of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre, where she performs and promotes works by Azerbaijani composers.
