Music for Count Sava Vladislavić: Sremski Karlovci and Bileća
Pianist Mina Ristić Jonić took part in two musical programmes dedicated to Count Sava Vladislavić: at the Karlovci Gymnasium in Sremski Karlovci, where two arias from Vivaldi’s opera “La verità in cimento” were premiered, and in Bileća, at the presentation of the book “Naš grof Sava” (“Our Count Sava”).
Count Sava Vladislavić, a diplomat in the service of the Russian Tsar Peter the Great, a traveller and a visionary who brought cultures together, was at the centre of two programmes in which pianist Mina Ristić Jonić performed.
The evening dedicated to Count Sava Vladislavić took place on 19 October 2025 at the Karlovci Gymnasium in Sremski Karlovci. The performers were soprano Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović, baritone Ivan Tomašev, a string quartet and actor Milan Bosiljčić, with Mina Ristić Jonić at the piano. The performers appeared in costumes inspired by Count Vladislavić’s era.
The programme included the premiere performance of two arias from Vivaldi’s opera “La verità in cimento”, as well as arias from Svetislav Božić’s opera “The Melancholic Dreams of Count Sava Vladislavić”.
The programme devoted to Count Sava continued on 19 September 2026 at the “Jevto Dedijer” House of Culture in Bileća, at the presentation of the book “Naš grof Sava” (“Our Count Sava”) by M. H. Ljumo. Mina Ristić Jonić and Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović performed, among other works, arias from Vivaldi’s opera “La verità in cimento”, which the composer dedicated to Count Sava Vladislavić himself.
“A warm welcome from our hosts, a wonderful audience and the scent of the sea along the way left a beautiful impression on us,” the pianist wrote after the performance in Bileća.
