“Music Preserves Memories” at the National Museum Atrium
At a concert organised by the Embassy of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre, dedicated to cultural cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan, Mina Ristić Jonić performed with Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović, Marko Josifoski and Zarifa Ali-zade.
On 25 February 2022, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Serbia and the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre presented the concert “Music Preserves Memories” in the Atrium of the National Museum in Belgrade, dedicated to cultural cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan.
The performers were soprano Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović, violinist Marko Josifoski and pianists Zarifa Ali-zade and Mina Ristić Jonić. The programme included works by Azerbaijani, Serbian and world composers.
Mina Ristić Jonić engages with Azerbaijani music both as a performer and as a researcher, and her doctoral art project is devoted to sonatas by Azerbaijani composers. Her appearance at the National Museum continued her collaboration with the Embassy of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre. She had performed at the National Museum before, at the Concert of Azerbaijani-Serbian Friendship.
A concert of the same name was held in December of the same year at the Madlenianum Opera and Theatre, marking 25 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
