Marking the centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s death, a concert was held at the Madlena Palace of Arts at which Mina Ristić Jonić and Nevena Živković were piano collaborators to sopranos Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović and Snežana Savičić Sekulić and tenor Siniša Radin.

On 20 November 2024, the Madlena Palace of Arts in Belgrade hosted the concert “In Honour of Puccini – One Hundred Years since the Death of Giacomo Puccini”, as part of the programme “Five-Day Cultural Mosaic”.

The concert followed the presentation of the ArtZept “Sublimity & Power” awards. The audience heard sopranos Jasmina Trumbetaš Petrović and Snežana Savičić Sekulić and tenor Siniša Radin, with Mina Ristić Jonić and Nevena Živković as piano collaborators.

The programme was devoted to arias from Puccini’s operas, which have long been part of the world’s cultural heritage. For piano collaborators this repertoire is a particular challenge, as on the concert platform the piano takes on the role of an entire opera orchestra.

“It is a true pleasure and joy to share the stage with artists like these,” Mina Ristić Jonić wrote after the concert.
