/ biography
Mina Ristić (b. 1991, Belgrade) completed her undergraduate and Master studies at the Faculty of Music (FMU) in Belgrade, under Prof. Jokut Mihailović. She completed specialist studies in chamber music under Prof. Jasna Tucović (FMU), and is presently in the final year of doctoral studies in chamber music, also under Prof. Tucović.
She has won numerous awards at national and international competitions, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, the most prominent one being laureate of the Republic Competition, the Davorin Jenko International Competition, and Stringfestival. She has performed Francis Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra as a soloist, with the FMU Symphonic Orchestra, at the Kolarac Endowment (2015), and the Fikret Amirov’s Concerto on an Arabian Theme for Piano and Orchestra, with the Symphonic Orchestra of the National Theatre in Belgrade, conducted by Ayyub Guliyev (2018). She appears regularly at significant events hosted by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Serbia, performing and promoting pieces by Azerbaijani authors. She had a concert as part of the BELEF Festival (2018) titled An Evening of German Composers, with violinist Isidora Dramićanin.
Since 2017 she has been regularly collaborating and performing around the country with opera singers from the National Theatre in Belgrade. During her studies she received a scholarship from the Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sports’ Fund for Young Talents, she held a City of Belgrade scholarship for talented students, as well as the Republic Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Artistic Youths scholarship. She works at the Davorin Jenko Music School, as a piano associate with the strings department and as a piano and chamber music teacher.
